Hi, I’m Andy, the founder of OwlSourcing. Fifteen years ago, my first job was to do gift and craft products sourcing for the second-largest media company in Latin America.
The client wanted to buy wholesale and import from China. They were importing various products such as art&crafts, jewelry, toys, stationery, and daily- use products, hair accessories, gifts from Chinese manufacturers.
I supported them to ship around 50-70 different gift products per month for various themed magazines as promotional gifts. Sites like Alibaba are not so popular at that time, so we need to source products from different Chinese wholesale markets.
Manufacturing and importing from China can be complicated when you sit on the other side of the world.
